DOGO TOTALE 2021: RELATIONEN + RISIKEN
"Dogo Totale 2021: Relationen + Risiken" presents the works by 26 artists of Dogo Residenz für Neue Kunst 2020/2021 on the Areal Stadtufer. The artistic positions range from installations, paintings, performances, to sound and video works.
The exhibition "Relationen" plays with open cards. Visitors can approach works but also artistic processes that do not normally find their way into the exhibition space. In a sketchy and fragmentary approach, space is given here to the productional conditions, the social and cultural contexts and, in general, the influences on works. The relationship between the unfinished and the finished work is thus given meaning. In turn, the exhibition "Risiken" is dedicated to the possible consequences through actions in the context of the unplannable and uncertain - a constant in our society. The double exhibition "Dogo Totale 2021: Relationen + Risiken" is ultimately a meeting of the works of a two-year creative phase of the art association. With the annual publication in paperback format, twenty text and image contributions by Dogo artists and invited authors have been produced in order to trace the current dimensions of risks that not only cultural workers are faced with.
