Room in the Dogo apartment with 5 rooms, 1 community room, 1 kitchen, 1 toilet, 2 bathrooms with sinks, a shower, a washing machine, a tumble dryer / The flat offers space to invite guests, but is designed for an intensive use by a maximum of 5 people at the same time / Workplace in the shared Dogo studio / Use of tools and technical equipment / Work documentation and video portrait / Support with fundraising / Participation in events / Networking with the community and local cultural workers / Excursions / Gatherings / Support in the artistic processes / Possibility of participation in art mediation / No fees are charged / Season: March to November (break: July)
Calls
Applicants are selected in a two-stage application process by a jury with two internal and two external members. Once a year, in early summer, we publish our call for applications for the selection of the following year. Following the jury process, interviews are conducted with all selected artists, leading to a final selection. Selection Criteria / Expectations
Motivation for working on site / Interest in local conditions and people / Participation at the residency as a place to live and work as part of the cultural centre Rathaus für Kultur / Interest in living together with the other cultural practitioners / Participation at the annual exhibition "Dogo Totale" in November / Submission of a completed application form and additional documents (CV/work documentation) / Artistic relevance / Social, political urgency / Partners and children are, as far as possible, invited as co-residents.
Accessibility
The Dogo flat is located on the upper floor of the Rathaus für Kultur (map) and is only accessible via the stairway. The shared Dogo studio is located on the ground and upper floors of the old gym (map). The upper floor can only be reached via the stairs.
